NEET UG Scorecard and Merit List​


The NEET UG Result is presented in the form of a scorecard. The scorecard contains essential information such as the candidate’s name, roll number, subject-wise marks obtained, total marks, and percentile score.

Along with the scorecard, the merit list is also released, which ranks candidates based on their performance in the examination. The merit list is used for the counseling and admission process.

Admissions are available for MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, BVSC and AH courses based on NEET UG 2023 results. That the entrance test was conducted on September 12 following the rules of Covid-19. Students can find out the results through the NEET UG website.

The NEET (UG) 2023 was conducted by the NTA at various test centres across the nation. The responsibility of the NTA is limited to the conduct of the entrance examination, declaration of result and for providing an “All India Rank merit list” to the Directorate General Health Service, Government of India for the conduct of counselling for 15% All India Quota Seats and for supplying the result to states/other counselling authorities.

All the candidates qualifying NEET (UG) 2023 would be eligible for All India Quota and other quotas under the State Governments/Institutes, irrespective of the medium of the examination, subject to other eligibility criteria.

NEET 2023 was conducted in pen and paper based mode and in 8 regional languages apart from in English, Hindi and Urdu. CBSE has declared NEET Results 2023 ton June 4 on the official websites.

NEET 2023 Result Important things:​


NTA would be releasing the scores of the candidates who have appeared for the NEET UG 2023 examination. The cumulative scorecard would be available on the login portal on ntaneet.nic.in which would be activated once results are released.

NTA would also be releasing the All India Merit List or the All India Ranks. Candidates would be able to check their AIR Rank in their score card. In case a candidate has opted out of the All India Rank list, his/her rank would not be provided.

NTA would also preparing a state wise merit list which would be shared with the respective agencies of the state that would then release the state wise merit lists in accordance to the counselling.

NTA would not conduct the NEET 2023 counselling. The counselling for admission to MBBS and BDS courses would be conducted by MCC or Medical Counselling Committee. The schedule would be released on the official website mcc.nic.in.

Qualifying NEET 2023 does not guarantee admission to a medical college in the country. Students have to register for counselling and present themselves along with the requisite documentation to be allotted a seat as per the availability.

NTA NEET Result Download 2023​


National Testing Agency will declare NEET UG results soon and it will be published in the form of NTA scorecards, mentioning candidates' qualifying status, marks, all India ranks, etc. The agency will also announce names of toppers and category-wise cut-off scores along with results.   • Result has been prepared based on the information provided by the candidates in their online application form.
  • The information submitted by candidates is subject to verification by admitting authorities.
  • Candidates if found submitting wrong information, will be considered as using unfair practices and their candidature will be cancelled at any stage.
  • In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in NEET (UG) 2023 , the inter-se-merit of such candidates has been determined as per Rule 2 of Chapter-6 of Information Bulletin of NEET (UG) 2023 .
  • NTA has declared only All India Rank and All India Quota Rank.
  • Candidates may apply to the designated Counselling Authorities as per their eligibility.
  • NTA has no role to play in it.

  • The same may also be confirmed from respective websites.
  • NTA is not responsible for change of any of the addresses though care has been taken to put correct addresses.
  • Counselling Authorities will invite applications from the successful candidates and prepare their own merit list as per their rules based on All India Rank.
  • In NEET result, category of the candidates is as per details submitted by them in online form. These have been used to prepare the Merit List for 15 % All India Quota seats.
  • In case, if the category of candidate falls under any other category in the State Category List, candidates may apply to designated Counseling Authorities with their category as per State Category List, and designated Counselling Authorities will verify the same.
  • The same is the case with domicile. Domicile will be governed by respective admitting authority rules.
  • NTA will not change any details of the candidates after declaration of result.
  • All candidates are advised to remain in touch with the websites of Counselling Authorities for updates.
  • Qualified Candidates having Benchmark Disabilities may refer to Chapter 3 { 5 (a-iv)} of Information Bulletin.
  • Qualifying in NEET (UG) 2023 does not confer any right for admission in Medical/Dental Colleges.
  • Selection of qualified candidates in NEET (UG) 2023 for admission to Medical/Dental Colleges is subject to merit position and satisfying the admission criteria as laid down in the rules of Central Government/State Government/Universities/Institutions concerned.

  • Percentile Scores are based on the relative performance of all those who appeared for the examination.
  • The Percentile scores of a Candidate have been calculated as follows: 1 0 0 X Number of candidates appeared in the examination with raw score LESS than the candidate Total number of the candidates appeared in the examination
  • Percentile Score is not the same as percentage of marks obtained.
  • Total Percentile Score is NOT an aggregate or average of the Percentile Scores of individual subjects.

NTA NEET UG 2023 Admission and Reservation:​


An All India Merit List of the qualified candidates shall be prepared on the basis of All India Rank in the Merit List of the NEET (UG) 2023 and candidates shall be admitted to MBBS/BDS Courses from the said list only by following the already existing reservation policy

NTA will provide All India Rank. Admitting Authorities will invite applications for counselling and merit list shall be drawn based on All India Rank by the admitting authorities. Admission to MBBS/BDS Courses within the respective categories shall be based solely on All India Rank as per merit list of NEET (UG) 2023.

Reservation of seats in government medical colleges under 15% All India Quota:​

  • 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates.
  • 7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates
  • 27% seats in Central Educational Institutions are reserved for OBC candidates only as per Central Educational Institutions (Reservation in 15 Admissions) Act, 2006.

Note: Reservation would be applicable to the castes mentioned in the Central list of OBC. Thus, the candidates falling in this list may mention OBC in the Category Column in application form.

How to calculate NEET scores?​


As per the marking scheme, four marks will be awarded for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates should refer to the NEET answer key 2023 and count all the correct and wrong answers and calculate their overall marks as per the marking scheme. Here are the steps to calculate expected scores.

  • Count the number of correct and incorrect answers
  • As per the marking scheme, multiply total correct answers with 4 and total wrong answers with 1
  • Now, subtract the total wrong attempts from total correct answers to get the NEET expected score
