MCC would announce the NEET UG Counselling Dates 2023 for 15% All India Quota MBBS/BDS Admissions. NEET UG Counselling 2023 will start at mcc.nic.in.

The online application window for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) round 1 counselling for the all India seats will start as per the schedule. As per the NEET UG Counselling 2023 schedule, the round one of NEET registration and payment of counselling fees will continue till the deadline.

Candidates meeting the cut-off can apply online at mcc.nic.in for the 15 per cent all India seats for admission to undergraduate medical and allied programmes in the country. NEET counselling process consists of registration, payment of fee and choice filling; choice filling and locking; processing of seat allotment; result and reporting.

The counselling dates for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) UG will begin. The registration for the first round of the counselling will begin at the medical counselling committee (MCC) at mcc.nic.in under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

NEET UG Counselling Schedule Details

NEET UG Counselling for 15% AIQ: NEET counselling under the 15 per cent all India quota include seats at government colleges (except those in Jammu and Kashmir), central and deemed universities, seats reserved for children of Insured Persons (IP quota) in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) medical colleges and seats available at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune.

While for the 85 per cent state quota seats NEET counselling will be conducted by the respective state authorities for admission to state government and private dental, medical colleges. The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) will administer the NEET UG counselling on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee.

NEET UG Counselling Process​


Step 1: Registration: Candidates willing to apply online for the all India seats will have to register themselves for the NEET UG 2020 counselling process at mcc.nic.in. Candidates have to enter their roll numbers, registration numbers, names, mother’s name, and dates of birth as printed on their NEET UG 2020 scorecard while registering online for admission to medical seats.

Step 2: Payment Of Counselling Fee: The NEET UG 2020 counselling application will only be considered complete when candidates will make the fee payment for NEET UG counselling. The NEET UG counselling fee comprises a refundable and a non-refundable fee.

Step 3: Exercising And Locking Choices: Candidates will have to fill the choice of course and give preferences of the college or institute they desire to get admission. There is no limit to the number of choices a candidate can make. Candidates are advised to lock the choices, failing which the choices will be locked automatically by DGHS.

Step 4: Seat Allotment List: DGHS on behalf of MCC will release the NEET UG 2020 seat allotment list for candidates to check which college is allotted to them. Candidates will have to download the NEET seat allotment letter within the due dates.

Step 5: Reporting To Allotted College: In the final step of NEET UG counselling, candidates will have to report to the allotted college with their NEET allotment letter 2020 to complete the admission formalities.

How to register for NEET UG Counselling​


The MCC will commence the online registration process for the first round of NEET UG counselling on its official website. Once the registration process begins, candidates who have qualified the NEET UG examination 2023 will be able to apply for the first round of NEET UG counselling online at mcc.nic.in on or before November 2, 2023, until 5 pm. However, the payment facility will available till 7 pm.

Candidates will be allowed to fill the choices of course and colleges according their preferences from October 28 to November 2, 2023. The choice locking will begin at 4pm and will close at 11:59 pm on November 2. The seat allotment process will be held on November 3 and 4, and the results will be declared on November 5.

  • On the left side, click on the link that reads, ‘New Registration’
  • Fill in all the requisite information and submit
  • A new Roll No. and Password will be generated. Use these credentials to register for NEET UG Counselling.
  • Revisit the web portal and select ‘Candidate login’.
  • Key in your credentials and login
  • Fill in all the necessary details and submit

After this, you will be shown all your details as per the NTA database. Verify the information and click on ‘Confirm Registration’. A Registration Slip will be generated. Now you can take a printout of the registration page

After registration, pay the application fee, Candidates have to fill the choices of course and colleges according their preferences. Candidates are advised to choose the preferences in order of the priority.

NEET UG Counselling Schedule:​


As per the notice released, “Transfer of Non-Reporting & Non Joining Vacant seat to Deemed/Central Universities/ESIC for Stray Vacancy Round as per the schedule.” The candidates can check the entire schedule from mcc.nic.in or by following here.

If seats are left vacant then the second counselling be conducted. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct the online counselling for admission to seats under 15 per cent All India Quota and seats in central institutions including AFMC, ESI, Delhi University (DU), BHU & AMU and deemed universities. Necessary Documents​


Necessary Documents are required at the time of Joining/ Reporting in allotted Medical / Dental College. Original documents (along with attested photocopies of documents) for admission to undergraduate medical courses for admission to 15% of total seats on All-India basis required at the time of joining in allotted Medical / Dental College are as mentioned below.

I. Admit Cards of Exam issued by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
II. Result/ Rank letter issued by NTA.
III. Date of Birth Certificate (if Metric Certificate does not bear the same) (iv) Class 10th Certificate

IV. Class 10+2 Certificate
V. Class 10+2 Marks Sheet
VI. Eight (8) Passport size photograph same as affixed on the application form.
VII. Provisional allotment letter generated on-line.
VIII. Proof of identity (Aadhar/ PAN/ Driving Licence/ Passport)

IX. For NRI/ OCI candidates appearing for Deemed Universities following documents are mandatory:
a) Passport copy of sponsorer
b) Sponsorship affidavit (stating that sponsorer is ready to bear the expenses for the whole duration of study)
c) Relationship Affidavit (Relation of Candidate with the sponsored)

X. The Candidate should also bring the following certificate, if applicable:
(a) SC/ST Certificate issued by the competent authority (in the standard format as specified in the prospectus/information bulletin) and it should be in English or Hindi in language. Sub caste should be clearly mentioned in the certificate. Some of the States insist for English version of Caste Certificate.

In case the certificate is in regional language the candidate should carry a Attested translated copy of the certificate in English/ Hindi. (b) OBC certificate issued by the competent authority. The sub- caste should tally with the Central List of OBC. The OBC candidates should not belong to Creamy Layer to claim OBC reservation benefit.

The OBC certificate must be in the standard format as mentioned in the prospectus/ Information Bulletin. (c) Disability Certificate issued from a duly constituted and authorized Medical Board for 21 Benchmark Disabilities as per the Rights of Persons with Disability Act 2016 (RPWD Act, 2016). (Please see clause 10.1 of Information Bulletin of AIPMT/NEET for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses, published by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for details).

No other PH certificate, issued by any other Authority/Hospital will be entertained. (Candidates are advised to see college information, of allotted college for, any other document which may be required by the allotted college) Candidates without original certificates/documents shall not be allowed to take admission in allotted Medical/ Dental College.

Candidates who have deposited their original documents with any other Institute/ College/University and come for admission with a certificate stating that “their original certificates are deposited with the Institute / College / University” will not be allowed to take admission in allotted Medical/Dental College.

Kindly note that there will be no reservation for OBC/ SC/ ST/ PH candidates in Deemed Universities. Over 15 lakh candidates have registered for the NEET examination that was conducted in 156 cities across the country.

Eligibility for NEET UG Counselling:​


Those who have qualified NEET UG by scoring the minimum qualifying percentage will be eligible for the counselling. Candidates should have earned a minimum of 50 percentage (40th percentile for SC/ST/OBC and 45th percentage for General-PH) in order to become eligible for NEET UG counselling rounds and can register at mcc.nic.in.

The NEET exam was conducted for admission to medical and dental colleges across the country. The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the results of the NEET exam on the website ntaneet.nic.in.

For admission to seats other than 15% All India seats, candidates who wish to apply for admission in State Medical Colleges using the NEET 2020 merit list need to follow the instructions of the State Government and/or authorities of the Medical/Dental colleges concerned. –
