New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee(MCC) will begin the choice-filling process for the NEET UG 2024 Counselling on August 16. The MCC NEET UG 2024 Counselling choice-locking procedure will conclude by August 20, 2024, by 11:55 PM. While the seat allotment process is set to commence from August 21, the competent authority will declare the result on August 23. Soon after the declaration of the NEET Seat Allotment Result, the selected students will be allowed to report to the medical institutes and colleges between August 24 and August 29, 2024.
Following the seat allotment result, the MCC will begin the Round 2 registration process for NEET UG 2024 Counselling from September 5. As per Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, the NEET (UG) has to be conducted as a common and uniform National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test [(NEET (UG)] for admission to undergraduate medical education in all medical institutions.
Admissions to all seats of Undergraduate Medical / Dental Courses will be done through NEET (UG) – 2024. The following are the seats available under different quotas:
NEET UG 2024 Counselling: Check Important Dates
- Registration/Payment: 14th August, 2024 to 20th Aug, 2024 (up to 12:00 NOON) only as per Server TimePayment facility will be available up to 03:00 PM of 20th Aug, 2024 as per Server Time
- Choice Filling/Locking: 16th Aug, 2024 to 20th Aug, 2024 (up to 11:55 P.M of 20th Aug, 2024) only as per Server Time
- Choice Locking will be available from 04:00 P.M of 20th Aug, 2024 upto 11:55 P.M of 20thAug, 2024 as per Server Time
- Processing of Seat Allotment: 21st Aug, 2024 to 22nd Aug, 2024
- Result: August 23
- Reporting/ Joining: 24th Aug, 2024 to 29th Aug, 2024

- All seats including NRI Quota as well as Management Quota, are in private unaided/aided minority / non-minority medical colleges.
- AIIMS Institutes across India/JIPMER.
- The Counselling for successful candidates for Seats under 15% All India Quota and 100% including 85% State quota seats of Central Institutions (ABVIMS & RML Hospital/VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital/ESIC)/ Central Universities (including DU/ BHU /AMU)/ AIIMS/ JIPMER and Deemed Universities, will be conducted by the MCC/DGHS for Undergraduate Medical / Dental Courses. MCC only does the registration for AFMC and forwards the data of registered Candidates to AFMC Authorities for the admission process. DU/BHU and other Universities may use the score for any other relevant courses being offered by them.
