NEET PG 2024 Counselling: Round 1 Registration Dates Soon; Check Qualifying Percentile

New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will release the NEET PG 2024 counselling schedule anytime soon. Candidates can check the MCC NEET PG Round 1 Counselling date at mcc.nic.in. Going by the media reports, the NEET PG counselling is expected to commence in the second week of September, 2024. A separate handbook informing details of the counseling process and applicable reservation shall be released by the designated counseling authority for NEET-PG 2024.

The NEET PG result was announced on August 23, 2024. Candidates can access the NEET PG rank and results at NBEMS websites and . Every question in NEET-PG was reviewed by the subject matter experts from the concerned specialty after the conduct of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) to recheck for technical correctness of the questions as well as answer keys. As per the inputs from the subject matter experts, no question was found to be technically incorrect.

NEET PG 2024 Result: NEET All India 50 % Quota Seats to Release Separately​


The merit position for All India 50% quota seats shall be declared separately. The final merit list/category wise merit list for State quota seats shall be generated by the States/UT as per their qualifying/eligibility criteria, applicable guidelines/regulations & reservation policy.

NEET PG Counselling: NBEMS NEET PG Individual Scorecard on/after Aug 30​


Individual scorecards of the candidates who appeared in NEET-PG 2024 can be downloaded from the website on/after August 30, 2024. NEET PG examination was conducted in August 11, in two shifts.

The eligibility criteria for participation in counseling towards allotment of PG seats conducted by designated counseling authority shall be in accordance with the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023 notified by the NMC with prior approval of MoHFW, Govt. of India.

  • General/EWS: 50th Percentile
  • SC/ST/OBC (Including PwD of SC/ST/OBC): 40th Percentile
  • UR PwD: 45th Percentile

What is NEET PG Rank?​

  • NEET-PG 2024 rank: This is the overall merit position of the candidate amongst all the candidates who have appeared in the NEET-PG 2024.
  • All India 50% quota rank: This is the overall merit position of the candidate amongst all the candidates who have appeared in the NEET-PG 2024 and are eligible for All India 50% quota counseling and is valid only for All India 50% quota MD/MS/ PG Diploma Courses (2024-25 admission session).
  • All India 50% quota Category Rank: This is the overall merit position of the candidate in the category (OBC/SC/ST/EWS) as opted by the candidate in the NEET–PG 2024 amongst the candidates of the same category who are eligible for All India 50% quota counseling and is valid only for All India 50% quota MD/MS/PG Diploma Courses.

Only those candidates will be eligible to participate in the All India 50% quota counseling for 2024-25 admission session who fulfill the eligibility criteria provided by the designated counseling authority for All India 50% Quota seats.
