NEET PG 2024 Counselling Dates For Round 1 Expected Soon; Check Qualifying Criteria, Registration Steps

New Delhi: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will publish the NEET PG 2024 counselling schedule anytime soon at its official website – mcc.nic.in. Medical aspirants can access the MCC NEET PG Round 1 Counselling dates at mcc.nic.in. A separate handbook informing details of the counseling process and applicable reservations shall be released by the designated counseling authority for NEET-PG.

NEET PG 2024 Round 1 Counselling Dates: How to Register At mcc.nic.in?​

  • Visit the official website of the Medical Counselling Committee at mcc.nic.in.
  • Look for the registration link. Or simply click on the ‘PG Medical’ section.
  • Register yourself on the portal by providing the basic details.
  • Fill up the application form. Pay the application fee.
  • Submit the application form and download a copy of it for future reference.

MCC NEET PG 2024 Counselling: Round 1 Registration Schedule Soon; Check Qualifying Percentile​


The eligibility criteria for participation in counseling towards allotment of PG seats conducted by designated counseling authority shall be in accordance with the Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023 notified by the NMC with prior approval of MoHFW, Govt. of India.

  • General/EWS: 50th Percentile
  • SC/ST/OBC (Including PwD of SC/ST/OBC): 40th Percentile
  • UR PwD: 45th Percentile
NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section 61(2) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 read with Chapter IV of Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023. Reservation of PG Medical seats shall be as per the norms of the Government of India and respective State Governments as may be applicable.

“OBC – NCL (Non Creamy Layer) as per Central list of OBC alone are eligible to claim OBC reservation in the counseling to be conducted by MCC of DGHS including all India 50% quota seats counseling. All OBC applicants for NEET-PG are accordingly advised to indicate their category as OBC in the application form only if their caste belongs to the Central list of OBCs and they fall under non creamy layer,” reads the NEET PG information bulletin.


NBEMS shall be providing only the data of candidates and their marks in NEET-PG 2024 to the State Government/Counseling Authority, through DGHS, GoI, without applying eligibility criteria, reservation criteria etc of the concerned states. State quota rank, state category rank, benefit for In-service candidates, rural
posting (if applicable) etc shall be determined/ generated by the designated agency/authority of the concerned States/UTs/ concerned authority as per applicable Regulations, eligibility criteria, guidelines and applicable reservation policies.
