NEET MDS 2024 examination will not be postponed and will be held as per the notified schedule. i.e. March 18, 2024. The Supreme Court of India, the apex court has refused to postpone the National Eligibility Entrance Test-Master of Dental Surgery (NEET MDS 2024). The Supreme Court was addressing a miscellaneous application filed by students seeking the postponement of the NEET exam. NEET MDS 2024 is set to take place on March 18, 2024. The admit card for the same will be published today, March 15, 2024.
The Union Government informed the apex court that it extended the internship cut-off date for the NEET MDS exam from March 31, 2024, to June 30, 2024. “An effort is made by NDC to bring back on rails the commencement of dental courses, this cannot be regarded as arbitrary to seek intervention of court…..on parameters of judicial review, we think it is inappropriate to interfere at this stage , we decline to intervene in the present matter, ” CJI DY Chandrachud stated, Careers360 reported.
During the Supreme Court hearing, the National Dental Commission (NDC) emphasized its commitment to restoring the examination schedule to its intended course. It disclosed that approximately 28,000 students are slated to take the exam on March 18, underscoring the adverse impact postponement would have on these candidates. Furthermore, the NDC highlighted that despite the Union Government’s extension of the cut-off date, an additional 568 students registered for the examination.
