Navratri pooja which is also called the Durga Pooja is one of the most important pooja and is also celebrated as the Dasara festival in many parts of the country. Almost all the pilgrims in all the states will be celebrating the Navratri Durga pooja. The pilgrims who do the Navratri Durga pooja will be doing the pooja for the span of 9 days. These nine days the pilgrims will be doing the pooja to the Lord Durga Devi Idol or the pilgrims will be doing the pooja to the Ghata or the Kalash. The Durga Devi aavahan will be done in this Kalash before the Durga pooja of nine days. After the pooja is completed, the pilgrims have to immerse the Kalash in water which is called the Navratri Kalash Visarjan or the Ghata Visarjan
After the nine-day pooja is completed, the pilgrims can do the Navratri Kalash Visarjan on the 10th day. Most of the pilgrims who have done the pooja for the Durga Devi during these nine days will be doing the Navratri Kalash Visarjan on the tenth day. - Once this is completed, the pilgrims need to reach the nearest water body and immerse the idol and also the Kalash in the water. With this, the Navratri Kalash Visarjan is completed. Some people will also be doing the pooja immersion also.
