NGT seeks status report from UP on Illegal slaughterhouses in Bulandshahr


The National Green Tribunal issued notice on application filed under Sections 14 and 15 of the National Green Tribunal Act, 2010 for issuance of directions to the respondents for removal of the Mobile towers setup in the public parks in the Vasant Vihar colony.

The application filed by Vasant Vihar Welfare Association further sought restoration of the parks at the costs of the respondents and to seized and desist for permitting construction/installation of mobile towers in any public parks in Delhi.

Prima facie, the averments made in the application raise questions relating to environment arising out of the implementation of the enactments specified in Schedule I to the National Green Tribunal Act, 2010 , the bench of Justice Arun Kumar Tyagi and Dr. Afroz Ahmad observed.

The NGT directed the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and Delhi Pollution Control Committee to file a response to the application.

The matter is listed on May 26 for further consideration.
