ALIGARH : The National Energy Conservation Day was observed at the Aligarh Muslim University with the active participation of its schools and offices in propagating the message of controlled and mindful consumption of energy.
At the Electricity Department, Prof. Salman Hameed, Member-in-Charge, highlighted the importance of energy conservation and stressed the need to increase the use of renewable energy resources and reduce the carbon emission.
Dr Mohd Ajmal Kafeel, Associate Member-in-Charge, administered a pledge and highlighted the importance of saving energy and the ways of energy conservation.
At the Ahmadi School for the Visually Challenge, the Principal, Dr Naila Rashid said that the day, observed every year in the country, has been designated by the Ministry of Power to raise awareness among people about energy conservation.
She administrated a pledge to the staff and students and emphasized the need to save energy for a better future.
Nudrat Jahan and Razia Bano, the Energy Conservation Monitors, shared valuable tips for electricity conservation and conducted awareness activities to promote energy-saving habits.
