Ravindra Kulkarni, a former pro-vice-chancellor of Mumbai University, has recently been appointed as the new vice-chancellor of the university. The order confirming his appointment was released on Tuesday evening by Ramesh Bais, the Governor and Chancellor of state universities. Kulkarni, a respected senior professor from the Institute of Chemical Technology in Matunga, is expected to assume his new responsibilities in the near future.
