Three Monash researchers have been granted more than $1.3M through the Australian Research Council (ARC) Early Career Industry Fellowships scheme.
Dr Molly Johnston from the Faculty of Arts was awarded $488,229 to address and generate new insights into ethical, social, and regulatory issues hampering egg donation in Australia.
Dr Michael Barson from the Faculty of Science was awarded $400,000 to develop quantum magnetic sensing technology for improved navigation and communication in challenging undersea and underground environments.
Dr Elise Facer-Childs from the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health was awarded $488,551 to develop and optimise personalised sleep recommendations to optimise well-being and performance for athletes and the wider community.
The researchers are among 50 early career researchers across Australia who have been collectively awarded $22.5 million by the ARC as part of the scheme this year.
The ARC Early Career Industry Fellowships support academic researchers partnering with industry, with the goal increase two-way mobility and skill-building in research collaboration, translation, and commercialisation.
