The prestigious examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission is challenging, but those who diligently pursue it with passion can achieve success in their careers. Today, we are going to talk about a woman who worked 14 hours duty and cracked UPSC in her first attempt.

Meet IAS Dr Akshita Gupta who has made a successful career. She is currently posted in the Punjab cadre.

Dr Akshita Gupta is a native of Chandigarh. Akshita’s father, Pawan Gupta is Principal at Senior Secondary School, Panchkula and her mother is a teacher of Mathematics at Government Senior Secondary School. Dr Akshita was in third year of MBBS course when she started preparing for the UPSC examination.

She used to work for 14 hours daily in hospital, but she took out time to study during breaks. Being a medical student, Akshita opted Medical Science as optional in Mains examination. She managed her routine to give enough time to her studies and cracked the UPSc examination in first attempt with AIR 69 in 2020 examination.

Dr Akshita is posted as SDM Nawanshahr in Punjab. She is also active on social media and has more than 18000 followers on X. She is available on Instagram too.
