Every year, lakhs of aspirants appear for the prestigious IIT JEE engineering entrance examination, but only a few get the chance to study at world-renowned institutions. We are going to talk about the son of a samosa seller who cracked the IIT JEE in 2017 and secured the 64th rank.
Meet Hyderabad’s Vabilisetti Mohan Abhyas.
A son of samosa vendor, Mohan Abhyas wanted to help his parents get rid of their financial disability.
His father was very happy after getting the news. “We have been selling samosas for the past 13 years to earn our living, to provide an education to our son. He finally scored well in JEE (Advanced), and we are very happy,” a news agency had quoted him as saying.
Abhyas parents always encouraged him during preparations. Vabilisetti Mohan Abhyas’s hard work and dedication finally paid off, as he secured the 5th rank in the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) and the 1st rank in the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET, before scoring high in the JEE (Advanced).
Vabilisetti Mohan Abhyas attended IIT Bombay and is currently working as software Engineer with Rubrik Inc.
