Born in Dwaraka Tirumala in Andhra Pradesh, Prudhvitej Immadi received an offer from Samsung in South Korea even before the 2014 placement season began, with a salary package of Rs 70 lakh per year. During the same year, he was awarded the prestigious Aditya Birla Scholarship at the Indian Institute of Technology(IIT) Bombay. Later, in 2016, Prudhvi decided to return to India and began preparing for the Union Public Service examination.
It is to benoted that he cleared IIT-Joint Entrance Examination(JEE) 2011 with AIR 1. Furthermore, he went to IIT Bombay to pursue his degree in Electrical Engineering. Immadi, reportedly, dedicated over 14 hours a day to his studies, focusing on revising the syllabus and solving previous years’ exams. His hard work paid off when he secured an All India Rank (AIR) of 24 in the UPSC Civil Services exam.
According to the media reports, he currently serves as the chairman and managing director of the Andhra Pradesh Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL). During his tenure as the joint managing director of the Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh(APTRANSCO), he played an important role in the company’s successful acquisition of affordable power from the open market.
