IIT-JEE success story: We all know that IIT-JEE is one of the toughest examinations in India. With thousands of students from across the country taking the exam every year to get admission into a prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), the exam is a dream of many Indian children. Due to vast popularity and its tough questions, only a small percentage of aspirants actually pass it and get admissions into IITs.

Where is Pranav currently working?

Here is a story of an aspirant who cleared the IIT-JEE exam with an impressive rank and is now working at Jane Street as a Quantitative Trader, where his role includes developing and testing a range of trading strategies on various derivative markets worldwide. After Pranav topped the JEE Exams, he pursued B Tech in Computer Science at IIT Bombay.

Pranav Goyal, the son of Pankaj and Mamta Goyal, who run a pharmaceutical business, says the key to his success was finding a balance between hard work and enjoying life, and credits his achievement to his methodical and focused manner of studying.

“My teachers and parents, too, supported me thoroughly, guiding and motivating me at every step,” he shared,” Goyal said on his journey.

“I was not obsessed with studying as is the common notion for all toppers. I just knew how to remove myself from studying when I was having fun, and focus only on academics when required,” Goyal added.

Academic achievements of Pranav Goyal

Hailing from Chandigarh, Pranav Goyal secured 337 out of 360 points from the IIT Roorkee zone. Goyal holds an impressive line-up of scholastic accomplishments, brilliantly attained by mingling hard work with pleasure. He didn’t just bag the top position in non-medical stream in his class XII CBSE exams within the three-city cluster of Chandigarh, Panchkula, and Mohali- but also proudly bagged the fourth position countrywide in the 2018 JEE Mains. He attributes his achievement to committed, consistent study habits.

“A lot of effort was required. “At first, I just wanted to place in the top 10, but as time went on, I wanted to be at the top of JEE,” Pranav had said about him at the All India rankings.
