Hailing from Panchkula, Chandigarh, Sarvesh Mehtani cracked the IIT-Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) exam in 2017. He obtained 339 marks. He is currently working as a Quantitative Trader. In 2021, Mehtani pursued a Computer Science and Engineering Graduate from IIT Bombay.

Speaking about his education qualification, Mehtani completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the National University of Singapore as a semester exchange program in 2019. He even completed his Bachelor of Technology, Computer Science and Engineering at theIndian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

“I’m currently working as a Quantitative Trader developing high frequency strategies to trade financial derivatives. I am Computer Science and Engineering Graduate from IIT Bombay, India. I am interested in Machine Learning, Statistics and Mathematics (INMO Awardee),” reads his LinkedIn profile.

IIT-JEE Advanced topper Sarvesh Mehtani class 10th, 12th marks​


Mehtani obtained 95.4 % marks in the Class 12th board examination. Notably, he scored a perfect CGPA of 10 in Class 10. His success mantra included a thorough and dedicated 5 to 6 hours to studying each day, and on holidays, the study time would increase to 8 to 10 hours. His hard work paid off, as he achieved an impressive All India Rank (AIR) by scoring 339 out of a possible 366 marks in the JEE Advanced examination. He even worked as a Research Engineer
at Google India in May 2020. at Bangalore Urban district, Karnataka.

He has won several awards including the Aditya Birla Fellowship, issued by the Aditya Birla Group and INChO – Indian National Chemistry Olympiad Awardee by Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education. At present, he is working as a Quantitative Trader at Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands. Sarvesh Mehtani’s father Parvesh is an officer in the Income Tax department in Chandigarh while Mother Raj Bala worked with the Haryana government’s industrial training department.
