Hailing from the small town of Boisar in the Palghar district of Maharashtra, IAS Officer Varun Baranwal dreamt of becoming a doctor. His father, a bicycle mechanic, used to run a small bicycle repair shop. However, things started to fall and situations got worse when Baranwal lost his father in 2006. Varun stopped vpursuing studying at a very young age.
Varun’s father’s cycle repair shop was the family’s sole source of income. Following his father’s passing, Varun took it upon himself to manage the shop and support his family. Despite the challenges, he excelled academically, topping his class in the 10th exam.
