UPSC Success Story: Hailing from Kakra village, located in the Bikaner district of Rajasthan, IAS Pari Bishnoi has become a well-known name. Bishnoi successfully cleared the UPSC Civil Services examination 2019 and secured the All India Rank(AIR) 30. It is reported that Pari Bishnoi cleared the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) Civil Services examination in her third attempt. Speaking of IAS Pari Bishnoi’s educational qualification, she completed her schooling at St. Mary’s Convent School in Ajmer. She obtained 91 per cent in her class 10th examination. Moreover, she scored 89 per cent in the class 12th examination respectively.
Upon completing her schooling, Pari Bishnoi ventured to Delhi to pursue her undergraduate studies at the University of Delhi’s Indraprastha College for Women. Later, she pursued a master’s degree in political science from MDS University in Ajmer. Before clearing the UPSC Civil Services exam, she reportedly qualified for the UGC NET examination.
When asked about her motivation to join the civil services, Pari revealed that her inspiration came from her mother, who serves in the Rajasthan Police. Growing up, she watched her mother bring about significant changes, even at a smaller scale. Her mother was also one of the first female officers to serve as SHO in many police stations, which inspired Pari to pursue a career involving fieldwork and public service.
Pari Bishnoi was appointed as the Returning Officer for the General Elections 2024 and currently serves as the Additional District Magistrate in Sikkim, under the North East Cadre. She is married to Bhavya Bishnoi, an MLA from Haryana and the youngest grandson of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, as well as the son of BJP member Kuldeep Bishnoi.
