IPS officer Jyoti Yadav hails from Gurugram, where she completed her schooling at Sherwood Public School. After completing her schooling, she decided to pursue a career in dentistry.
After 12th, Jyoti completed a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) and became a successful dentist. While working as a dentist, she developed an interest in civil services and decided to prepare for the civil service examination.
Jyoti started preparing for the UPSC exam and got the success in 2019, securing the 437th rank. She was selected for the IPS and was posted to the Punjab cadre as an IPS officer.
During a search operation, IPS Jyoti made headlines because of her heated argument with Aam Aadmi Party MLA Rajinderpal Kaur Chhina (Ludhiana South seat).
IPS Jyoti married to Punjab’s Education Minister Harjot Bains, who joined the AAP party as a volunteer.
