For the second year in a row, the Mumbai division recorded the lowest pass percentage with 88.13% in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams, which had the highest enrollment of 14.5 lakh students in the state. Due to the pandemic, the class 10 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) papers were canceled, leading to a rise in HSC enrolment.
