A 21-day nationwide Meri Mati Mera Desh campaign has been launched in honor of the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country. This campaign will run till 30th of this month. Under this, special programs will be organized across the country at the state, village and block level as well as local urban bodies. In this campaign, commemorative plaques or plaques dedicated to freedom fighters and security forces will be installed. Along with this, programs like Panch Pran Pratigya, Vasudha Vandan and Veeron Ka Vandan will also be held in honor of the heroes. Under the campaign, an ‘Amrit Kalash Yatra’ will also be taken out, in which soil will be brought from every corner of the country in seven thousand five hundred urns to make ‘ Amrit Vatika ‘ in Delhi . This ‘Amrit Vatika’ ‘ One India, Best India’‘ will be a symbol of commitment. This campaign the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence which began on March 12, 2021 . is the concluding program of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav witnessed wide public participation. During this period, more than two lakh programs were organized across the country.

After a gap of 47 years, Russia is set to take a remarkable leap in lunar exploration with the launch of its Luna-25 spacecraft . This venture not only marks a resurgence in space exploration but also represents a strategic race with India to reach the South Pole of the Moon. The discovery is motivated by the fascinating potential of the Moon’s south pole to provide an important resource – water. roscosmos has issued a statement in this regard. It states that the launch will take place on August 11. It will be launched from the Vostochny Cosmodrome, located about 5,550 km east of the capital Moscow. It will be launched through Soyuz-2 rocket. India’s Chandrayaan-3 lunar lander, which is scheduled to touch down on the Moon’s south pole on August 23, is competing in a lunar race with Russia’s Luna-25. Both countries aim to explore the potential of the Moon’s south pole as a valuable source of water, which could have profound implications for future human presence in space.

Investors who were earlier dissatisfied with the outcome of their complaints may approach the Investor Grievance Redressal Committee (IGRC). However, ODR will enable investors to initiate arbitration against a wider range of intermediaries, making the process more comprehensive and inclusive.

The estimated solar power potential in the country is more than seven lakh 48 thousand MW. He said that the potential of solar energy has not been fully utilized so far. Shri Singh said that the government is trying to utilize the available potential through various schemes and programmes.

8 Government to sell 50 lakh tonnes of wheat and 25 lakh tonnes of rice in the open market to curb retail prices​

To curb retail prices, the government will sell 50 lakh tonnes of wheat and 25 lakh tonnes of rice in the open market. Food Corporation of India will sell wheat and rice in the open market in a phased manner under the Open Market Sale Scheme through e-auction. In the last one year, wheat prices have increased by more than six per cent in the retail market and by more than seven per cent in the wholesale market. Similarly, rice prices have increased by more than ten percent in the retail market and by more than 11 percent in the wholesale market.

The Bill amends the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order 1950 to modify the list of Scheduled Castes in Chhattisgarh . The Bill includes Mahara and Mehra communities as synonymous with Mehra, Mahar and Mehar communities in Chhattisgarh .

10 Digital Personal Data Protection Bill-2023 passed in Parliament​

Parliament passed the Digital Personal Data Protection Bill-2023 . Rajya Sabha approved this bill. Lok Sabha has already passed it. According to the Bill, a person can use personal data of an individual for a legal purpose based on his consent and for certain lawful uses. The Bill provides for the establishment of the Data Protection Board of India. In case of personal data breach, the Board will investigate the matter and impose penalty. The RTI Act currently allows public authorities to disclose personal information, such as salaries of officials, when it is in the public interest. The Bill would remove these warnings and completely disallow the disclosure of personal information.

15 India develops manned scientific submarine Matsya 6000: Union Minister Kiren Rijiju​

India has developed a scientific submersible Matsya 6000 which can carry three people for 12 hours to a depth of 6000 meters for deep sea mining. Union Earth Sciences Minister Kiren Rijiju informed in a written reply in the Lok Sabha that an integrated mining machine has been developed for collection of poly-metallic nodules from the sea bed. The locomotion test of this submarine was carried out in the middle of the Indian Ocean Region. He also informed that there has been significant progress in the development of deep sea mining technology under the Deep Ocean Mission.

16 Two Indian Navy ships arrived at Rashid Port in Dubai today for exercise​

Two Indian Navy ships INS Visakhapatnam and INS Trikand reached Rashid Port in Dubai for an exercise with the UAE Navy. The fifth meeting of the India-Vietnam Joint Trade Sub-Commission (JTSC) was held in New Delhi .
