3 Ministry of New and Renewable Energy notified Green Hydrogen Standard
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has notified the Green Hydrogen Standard . It clarifies that which hydrogen produced from renewable sources can be called green hydrogen. This includes both electrolysis and biomass-type hydrogen production systems. The Ministry, after consultation with all concerned, has decided that the definition of green hydrogen will include greenhouse gases generated from water purification, electrolysis, gas purification, drying and hydrogen compression. The notification states that the modalities for measurement, monitoring, on-site verification and certification of green hydrogen will be determined by the ministry. For this, the Bureau of Energy Efficiency of the Ministry of Power will be the authorized authority.
