LLB Distance Education?: In India, the UGC does not approve distance learning for the LLB program. Bachelor of Laws is a 3-year education program. The eligibility to study graduate in any discipline from a recognized university. The admissions for 2024 are made through merit. Universities offering this course include National Law University, Delhi, NALSAR University of Law and Symbiosis Law School. The charges for the course oscillate between INR 50,000 to 1,50,000. The course includes Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Contract Law, Law of Property, and Legal Ethics.

After the completion of the course, graduates can work as Lawyers, Legal Advisors, or Legal Consultants for law firms, corporate legal departments, or for self-practice. Salaries range from INR 4-6 LPA during the entry level and may go up to 15 LPA or more. The course provides a sound understanding of the law and the skills required to practice successfully.

Note: As Per the Bar Council of India, which regulates the Lawyer Profession, LLB through Distance Mode cannot practice in court. So Be clear that this article is only for knowledge Purposes.

What is Distance LLB?

Distance LLB provides an opportunity to specialize in the field of law without following the traditional learning style. Eligibility is not based on the entrance exam yet 10+2 is required.

Is the LLB distance education program valid in India?


No, the UGC and BCI in India do not approve distance learning for LLB. It requires students to attend regular classes and complete the coursework in person. Therefore, any student seeking to practice law in India must take up a regular LLB program. The Indian Bar Council does not recognize distance learning programs for LLBs.
