Liver and kidney transplant services will soon be launched at PGIMS, Rohtak, according to Haryana’s Health and Family Welfare Minister, Anil Vij. He said that Haryana is the first state in India to carry out mapping of health services by collecting information about the number of bedded hospitals, doctors, etc. through a dedicated agency, and plans to build a medical college in each district. Furthermore, Haryana is empanelling National Accreditation Board of Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH) certified hospitals, of which 600 in the area now hold certification with around 500 hospitals still being empanelled.
