The Law Commission of India is inviting students who pursue LLB/LLM/Research to aid in its Research/Legal/Law Reform projects. Three internship programs are held by the commission: mid-term internships, summer internships (May-June), and winter internships (November-December). Students who pursue law from recognised universities/colleges/schools are eligible to attend the internships.

The internship will be held for duration of four weeks. Further, an extended period of two weeks can be added on the request of the intern by the authority. There will be no remuneration paid nor expenses bore by the commission.

Students who pursue LLB/LLM/Research are only eligible for this internship. They should also be in the second, third, fourth, or fifth year of their three year law degree or five year law degree program. The interns are required to aid in the legal/research/law reform projects of the commission. They will also be required to present a paper on a selected topic at the end of their internship.

The students who are interested to pursue this internship should send their applications to the Assistant Law Officer of India. This can either be done through courier/post or by hand. The deadlines for the summer internship and the winter internship are April 1st and October 1st. For mid-term internships, the applicants should reach out 30 days prior to the intended date of joining the internship.
