Admission Procedure


Admissions in UG, PG and Doctoral in the various state colleges and universities will be provided through national level CLAT entrance exams.

After qualifying the entrance exam, candidates will be called for counselling where they will be allotted with the seats as per their preferences. So, it will be must to attend the counselling procedure.

Entrance Exam​


(Common Law Admission Test) is a national level examination managed by NLUs on rotation basis. Some universities organize their own entrance exam for providing admissions into Ph.D. courses.

Candidates will also be apply for direct admission in some of the colleges on the basis of their qualifying (Intermediate) examination marks.

Law Admission 2025​


The CLAT 2025 application process will be started via online mode. Eligible candidates will be eligible to fill the application form for admission. The eligibility criteria required to appear in the entrance exam are as follows:

  • No upper age limit to apply for CLAT.
  • Candidates those seeking for admission in a law UG course, should pass the 12th or equivalent examination with 45% marks (40% for SC/ST category candidates).
  • For admission in law PG courses, candidates should possess the LL.B or its equivalent degree from a recognized university/college with minimum required marks.
  • Appearing candidates will also eligible to apply.

Selection Procedure​


After declaration of the entrance exam result, candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling as per their ranks. Candidates will have to register on the respective counselling website for participating in the counselling.

In a counselling session, candidates will have to fill the preferences of colleges and courses after making payment of counselling fee.

The concerned authority will allocate the seats to the candidates on the basis of choices filled by the candidates, rank of the candidates and availability of seats in participating institutions.

Candidates must report the allotted college before last date of admission with their original documents.
