Govt Of AP, School Education Department issued AP TET notifications. The candidates who intend to be a teacher for classes I to VIII in school in Andhra Pradesh were applied through prescribed format at its official website.

Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test ( APTET ) is a State Level Examination Conducted to Certify the Eligibility of candidates to be appointed as teachers at Primary and Upper Primary levels. According to NCTE Norms, APTET Exam Must be conducted for least a year.

APTET Exam is Parted into two papers i.e., Paper 1 and Paper 2. As per APTET Exam Pattern, Candidates aspiring to become a teacher of classes 1 to 5 need to Pass Paper 1, whereas those who want to become a teacher of classes 6 to 8 need to Pass Paper 2.

APTET July 2011 Result: (TET 1) – The Government of Andhra Pradesh has issued the first Teacher Eligibility Test (1st TET) in AP. APTET July 2011 was held on July 31, 2011.

Candidates belonging to general category shall have to score 60% and above for being declared as pass. Similarly, it is 50% and above for BC category and 40% and above for SC/ST/ Differently abled category candidates. ‘TS-TET Certificate / Marks Memo shall be valid for life time from the date of TET examination in accordance with NCTE Guidelines.’

Teachers who were appointed before NCTE notification, dated 23.08.2010 on selection by District Selection Committee or by the competent authority in Govt. / Local Authority as per Recruitment rules prevalent at that time was exempted from appearing TET Exam.
