The Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College in Indore is set to restore a 145-year-old building located on its campus to create a library for medical students. The King Edward Medical School building, which dates from 1876, has undergone many suggestions for future use including plans for a café. The medical college's dean, Dr Sanjay Dixit, said the structure, famous locally as “Hogwarts,” was an important heritage site and would cost around INR10m ($140,000) to renovate. The plan also includes the development of sports facilities on the land behind the building.
