Khaitan & Co acted as the lenders legal counsel in relation to financial assistance in the form of rupee term loans being extended by Power Finance Corporation Limited to Neemrana II Kotputli Transmission Limited (Sterlite Power Transmission Limited entity) for an amount not exceeding INR 1373 crores for construction and development of electricity transmission structure: (i) 765/400 kV, 4×1500 MVA (along with one spare unit of 500 MVA) Neemrana – II S/s along with 2×330 MVAr (765 kV) bus reactor (along with one spare unit of 110 MVAr) and 2×125 MVAr ( 420kV) bus reactor at a suitable location near Neemrana (ii) Neemrana-II -Kotputli 400 kV D/c line (quad); (iii) two (2) 400 kV line bays at Kotputli; and (iv) LILO of both ckts of 400 kV Gurgaon (PG) – Sohna Road (GPTL) D/c line (quad) at Neemrana-II S/s.
