Ernakulam: Kerala Kalamandalam, in association with South Indian Bank, is set to ring in the New Year with Kathakaliloode Kalamandalam, a grand cultural showcase celebrating Kerala’s classical art forms. Scheduled for December 31, 2024, at the iconic Nila Campus in Cheruthuruthy, this event promises a unique blend of tradition and innovation, making it an unforgettable way to welcome 2025.
The announcement was made today at a press conference held at the Ernakulam Press Club, attended by senior representatives from South Indian Bank and Kerala Kalamandalam, including Mr. Sony A, Senior General Manager and Chief Information Officer, South Indian Bank; Ms. Biji S S, Senior General Manager and Head of Branch Banking, South Indian Bank; Mr. Ramesh K P, Head of Marketing, South Indian Bank; Dr. Rajeshkumar P, Registrar of Kerala Kalamandalam; Mr. Kesavan Narayanan, Coordinator of Heritage Experiential Programs; and Ms. Lakshmi N Menon, social entrepreneur.
Dr. Rajeshkumar P, Registrar of Kerala Kalamandalam, spoke about the significance of the event: “Kathakaliloode: Through Stories is more than a performance; it is an ode to Kerala’s rich cultural heritage. The Nila Campus, with its deep historical roots, offers the perfect venue to celebrate our timeless traditions and the artistry that defines us.”
Mr. Sony A, Senior General Manager and Chief Information Officer of South Indian Bank, expressed the bank’s commitment to supporting Kerala’s culture: “At South Indian Bank, we believe in preserving and promoting the essence of Kerala’s traditions.
