Over 3,000 junior doctors went on an indefinite strike in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday, demanding an increase in honorarium and an end to impractical rural service conditions. Junior Doctor Association's Dr. Preetam Prajapati stated that they had been requesting senior authorities for several years to increase their remuneration, which has been lower than neighboring states. He added that the current stipend rate has not increased in the past four years.
