Junaid recently shared in an interview that he was diagnosed with dyslexia at the age of 6. His parents
and Reena Dutta noticed his struggles and took him to a specialist after reading the script of Taare Zameen Par.
Junaid who is preparing for the release of his debut film Loveyapa, explained, “Neither of my parents focused too much on my academic results”.
“They were mindful of my dyslexia, which was diagnosed early on, especially during my school years”.
He clarified that Aamir started working on Taare Zameen Par before this realization. “It actually happened the other way around”.
“When they heard the script, they thought, ‘Wait a second, this feels familiar’. That’s when they took me to a specialist, and I was diagnosed with dyslexia,” Junaid said.
