Steps in JoSAA Counselling 2023

The JoSAA Counselling for the year 2023 is expected to follow a similar process as previous years. It provides a fair and transparent method for seat allocation, ensuring that candidates are offered seats based on their merit and preferences.

a. JoSAA Counselling Registration

To participate in JoSAA Counselling, candidates must register themselves on the official website. The registration process requires candidates to provide their personal and academic details. It is important to ensure that all the information provided during registration is accurate and up-to-date.

c. JoSAA Counselling Seat Allotment

The seat allotment process is based on the candidate’s merit, choices filled, and the availability of seats. JoSAA uses a sophisticated algorithm to allocate seats, taking into account the preferences of candidates and the cutoff ranks for different programs. Once the seat allotment is done, candidates will be able to view their allotted seats on the JoSAA website.

Candidates must register themselves initially because without that they cannot appear for the counselling round for admissions.

Students may please note that admission to NITs, IIEST, IIITs and GFTIs would be done on the basis of JEE Main Result. Admission to IITs or Indian Institutes of Technology would be done on the basis of JEE Advanced Result.

There would be a total of 6 rounds of seat allocation. Another change introduced to the admissions process this year is the change to admission confirmation process. Unlike last year when students had to physically report at the allotted institute to confirm their seats, this year this process will be held online.

JoSAA Counselling

Each round will comprise several stages including registration, choice filling, choice locking, seat allotment, freeze/ float allotted seat, payment of seat confirmation fee and reporting to the allotted college.

Candidates after completing the JOSAA counselling registration can exercise the choice filling options on the basis of their score and their rank in JEE Main or JEE Advanced. Once the responses will be filled by the aspirants, JoSAA will issue the seat allotment list.

After this, the students will have to either freeze/ float the allotted seat. Those willing to go for the allotted seat will have to pay a seat confirmation fee and report to the respective college with the provisional admission letter and other certificates to complete the further admission process. Candidates can float the allotted seats up to round 6 only as it will be the final round for admissions to IIT, NIT.

Choice filling is the most important choice for colleges with the rank of students. The choice filling process began through the JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) website. Students may lose the most valuable seat with a few minor mistakes in the process. So students have to follow certain methods.

Seat Selection Method

Colleges and courses should be selected based on the rank of students. You can select any number of courses in order of priority. First you have to choose their favorites and choose one to the last. When you want to read in any country, you should also consider the lesser-known ones.

Every opportunity given on the website should be avoided by doubting whether I can come. 50 per cent for local students and 50 per cent for students from other states. This year, the central government has given a 10 per cent reservation for the weaker section in the OC category. These are allotted ranks in Josaa to be considered.

When a student chooses up to 50 choices, the seat allotment will see where the student is ranked. If you get a 10th choice seat, you should immediately verify the certificates in the nearest net and reserve the seat. Freeze if you are satisfied with this choice.

Also, if the chance to get a good branch in the same college, the option to choose the option. Similarly, if you go to any college or any choice, you have to choose a float option. Selected sequences (11th to 50th Choice) are then edited by default.

One must check ten times without making a mistake in the selection of options. It is mandatory to reserve a seat after verification of certificates. Waiting for another round to make sure the favorite branch didn’t come was a big mistake. Once reserved, there is no other option when reserved. Any seat can be reported in Warangal NIT. Fees can be charged right here.
