The exam will take place from June 10 to 13, 2024, and is conducted by JNTU on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education. It facilitates admission to regular PG courses in engineering, technology, architecture, pharmacy, and Pharm-D at the graduate level. TS PGECET-2024 will be held at two regional centers in Telangana: Hyderabad and Warangal.

The exams will be held in two shifts — from 10 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 4 pm. On June 10, 2024 the first shift will include exams for Geo-engineering and Geo-informatics, and Pharmacy. The second shift will have exams for Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Food Technology, and Aerospace Engineering.
On June 11, 2024, the first shift will include exams for Electronics Communication Engineering, Biotechnology, and Mechanical Engineering, while the second shift will feature exams for Computer Science and Information Technology. On June 12, 2024, the first shift will have exams for Instrumentation Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Textile Technology, and Mining Engineering, while the second shift will include exams for Architecture and Planning, Biomedical Engineering, and Metallurgical Engineering. On June 13, 2024, Environmental Management will be in the first shift, and Nanotechnology will be in the second shift.
The TS PGECET exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT) that lasts two hours and consists of 120 multiple-choice questions, with each question carrying one mark. There are no negative marks for incorrect answers.
After the results are declared, the counseling schedule will be announced. Based on their results, students will be allotted seats in Engineering and Pharmacy courses.
