JEE Advanced Result 2024 or IIT Entrance Test Result 2024 will be released at jeeadv.ac.in by IIT Kharagpoor after completion of CBT Exam.

The Optical Response Sheet (ORS) and answer keys will be released its web portal. The students have cleared the JEE Main to be eligible to contest for IITs and NITs in the country.

Paper 1 of JEE advanced was held from 9 am to 12 pm while the second paper for JEE Advanced 2024 was held from 2 pm to 5 pm.

The results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2024 will be announced in the second week of June on the official website, the link for which is jeemain.nic.in.

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) will release the results and merit list on June 08.This year, the JEE Advanced 2024 was held in its Computer Based Mode (CBM) on 03-10-2024.

JEE Advanced has been conducted successfully by IIT in Computer Based Test format. JEE Advanced 2024 Result would be released on jeeadv.ac.in.

Students would be getting the notification for their question papers being loaded on the official website. The question papers would be made available to students along with the responses marked by the students.

Candidates who have appeared have an option of sending feedback and challenging the answer keys. The option to do so would be available online.

Based on the answer keys and any objections received, the JEE Advanced 2024 result would be declared on its portal. Counselling schedule would be shared by JoSAA for admission to various IITs.

How to check JEE Advanced Results 2024?​

  • Go to the official website, jeeadv.nic.in
  • Click on the relevant link
  • Enter the necessary information
  • After submitting the same, the results will be displayed on the screen
  • Take a printout for future use

Further, the All India Ranks (AIR) of successful candidates will be available through the online portal after the results are declared.

Text messages will also be sent to the candidates to their registered mobile numbers. Moreover, individual rank cards will ‘NOT’ be sent to candidates.

Registration for Architecture Aptitude Test, AAT 2024 will start from October 15 (10 am) and students who qualified the JEE Advanced 2024 can apply for AAT 2024 before October 16 (5 pm).

AAT 2024 results will be declared on October 22 at JEE Advanced 2024 online portal. The Joint Implementation Committee of JEE Advanced 2024 will decide the cut-off marks for passing AAT. JoSAA counselling for architecture students will begin from October 22.

JEE Advanced Exam Key dates:​

  • Online Registration closes: August 7 to August 11.
  • Admit card downloading schedule: August 18, 2024.
  • JEE Advanced Exam Date: August 28, 2024 in two shifts.
    • Paper-1 : 09:00 to 12:00 hrs (IST)
    • Paper-2 : 14:00 to 17:00 hrs (IST)
  • Results will be declared on September 11, 2024.

Cut-off marks for the top 20 percentile​


The category-wise cut-off marks for the top 20 percentile are calculated based on the marks scored by the candidates who pass in their respective boards in the particular year.

It is reiterated that top 20 percentile cut-off for the academic year 2024 will be considered for the candidates who pass the Class XII (or equivalent) examination in 2024.

In case a Board does not provide information about the cut-off for the top 20 percentile, the candidate will have to produce a certificate from the respective board stating that he/she falls within the top 20 percentile of successful candidates.

If the candidate fails to do so, then the cut-off marks, in the respective categories, for the CBSE will be used. According to official data, as many as 1,57,496 appeared for the first paper and 1,55,091 made it to the second paper.

Also, it was reported that over 17,000 candidates did not take up the JEE (Advanced) examination held in two shifts at 573 centers across the nation. In 2017, over 2.2 lakh candidates appeared for the exam consisted of two papers, i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2.

The JEE Advanced 2024 results were declared on June 11 at 10 am and Sarvesh Mehtani from Chandigarh (Panchkula) obtained the All India Rank (AIR) 1, followed by Pune’s Akshat Chugh and Delhi’s Ananya Agarwal at the second and third position.

Selection procedure​


“The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2024 was held in the seven zonal IITs. The performance of a candidate in this examination will form the basis for admission to the Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the IITs. The decisions of the JAB 2024 will be final in all matters related to JEE (Advanced) 2024 and admission to IITs,” said official website.
