Close to 1.9 lakh students have registered for the JEE Advanced 2023, an increased number as compared to previous years where registration was between 1.6 to 1.7 lakh. This year, there is a 25% increase in female students. The highest number of applicants are from Hyderabad, Patna, Jaipur, Vijayawada, and Bengaluru. More than 100 foreign nationals have also registered for the exam. The number of OCI/PIO candidates has doubled, to 796, as they are now considered Indian nationals by the Supreme Court.
