Renowned Indian astronomer and founder of IUCAA, Jayant Narlikar, has been awarded the first Astronomical Society of India (ASI) Govind Swarup Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to recognise contributions made to astronomy and astrophysics by Indian astronomers throughout their career.
