Jammu & Kashmir Bank (J&K Bank) has officially opened the application process for the recruitment of apprentices. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the bank’s official website, ibpsonline.ibps.in/jkbledec24. This recruitment drive seeks to fill a total of 278 apprentice vacancies.
The bank’s notification highlights that the number of vacancies is tentative and may change based on the actual needs of the bank, depending on the availability of qualified candidates. Candidates from reserved categories, for which no specific reservation has been announced, are welcome to apply under the unreserved category, provided they meet all the eligibility criteria.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a graduation degree from a recognized university or institute, with results declared before the application deadline. Proficiency in the local language of the respective region is essential, and preference will be given to candidates who are domiciles of the respective area.
The age limit for applicants is set between 20 and 28 years as of January 1, 2024. Age relaxation is provided for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwBD categories, in accordance with government regulations.
Stipend and Benefits
Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of Rs 10,500 for the duration of the one-year engagement, with Rs 1,500 of this amount being transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) by a government agency. Additionally, a conveyance allowance of up to Rs 1,250 per month will be provided. However, no other allowances or benefits will be offered.
The DBT amount of Rs 1,500 is applicable only to apprentices under 35 years of age at the time of online contract issuance via the Apprenticeship Portal.
The application window is open from December 24, 2024, to January 7, 2025, and is open to candidates from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and other regions across India.
