Indian Space Research Organisation- ISRO successfully demonstrated the system for safe evacuation of astronauts in case of disaster of its rocket Gaganyaan . Crew-model of Gaganyaan Mission was successfully tested from Sriharikota . ISRO tested the Abort Mission-1 (TV-D1) mission in preparation for sending a manned space mission in 2025 . ISRO has to complete an unmanned mission next year. Its main objective was to ensure safe landing, safe rescue of astronauts and testing of crew-models. It was launched from the first launch pad of Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota at exactly 10 am. After nine minutes, the crew-model fell in the Bay of Bengal, ten kilometers from Sriharikota. The Navy was deployed there for the recovery of the module. Navy divers removed the module and brought it to a naval ship.

Defense Minister Shri Rajnath Singh launched ‘ Project UDBHAV’ during the inauguration of the Indian Military Heritage Festival . On this occasion, Army Chief General Manoj Pandey , Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Choudhary , Vice Chief of Navy Vice Admiral SJ Singh , Chief of Integrated Defense Staff Lieutenant General JP Mathew , Director General of Integrated Services Institute (USI), Government of India Major General BK Sharma (Retd) and other dignitaries were present. ‘ Udbhav ‘, meaning ‘ origin ‘, acknowledges the ancient scriptures and writings of our nation, which are centuries old and contain deep knowledge that can benefit modern military strategies. The project aims to combine ancient knowledge with contemporary military practices, creating a unique and holistic approach to address modern security challenges . It is a visionary initiative of the Indian Army that seeks to integrate age-old knowledge with contemporary military pedagogy. The ancient Indian knowledge system is part of a 5000 year old civilizational heritage that has placed great importance on knowledge. It witnesses an astonishingly vast collection of intellectual texts, the world’s largest collection of manuscripts, thinkers and opinions in many fields of knowledge. Project UDBHAV will facilitate a deeper understanding of our knowledge systems and philosophies and will also aim to understand their enduring relevance, relevance and applicability in modern times.

Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare – DOPPW has launched a special campaign to promote cleanliness and digitization , reduce pendency of public complaints and increase efficiency in decision making through good governance initiatives. Under this third phase (3.0) campaign, many important steps have been taken to conduct various activities. The Department has achieved significant progress in disposal of public grievances and appeals received from Central Government pensioners. Till the third week of this month, the department has disposed of more than four thousand one hundred public complaints and about five hundred complaint appeals.

6 Permission to export lakh tonnes of non-Basmati rice, India will supply to seven countries​

India has given permission to export 13 lakh 40 thousand tonnes of non-Basmati rice to seven countries. According to the notification issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, rice will be exported to Nepal, Cameroon, Côte-de-Va, Republic of Guinea, Malaysia, Philippines and Seychelles. 2 lakh 95 metric tons of rice will be given to Philippines, 1 lakh 90 thousand metric tons to Cameroon and 1 lakh 70 thousand metric tons to Malaysia. 1 lakh 42 thousand metric tons of non-basmati rice will be exported to Côte-de-Va and Guinea, 95 thousand metric tons to Nepal and 800 metric tons to Seychelles. This export will be through National Cooperative Export Limited.

7 Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) and Skill Council for Persons with Disabilities (SCPWD) signed MoU for ‘Job Coach for Inclusion Programmes’.​

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) and the Skill Council for Persons with Disabilities (SCPWD) at the IICA campus at Manesar, Gurugram . The objective of the MoU is to synergize the expertise of SCPWD and IICA, so as to enable the corporate world with respect to knowledge, skills and competencies for building and managing a diverse workforce through various entities created under the aegis of SCPWD and IICA. . In collaboration with IICA, SCPWD will take initiatives through “ Job Coach for Inclusivity (JCI) ” programs or skill courses in diverse sectors.

8 Electronics and Information Technology Secretary S. Krishnan launches “Made-in-India” 2kW DG portable charger to help promote electric vehicle adoption​

Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) , Shri S. Krishnan witnessed the launch of indigenous technology of 2 kW DC portable charger developed by the Center of Excellence at IIT Madras Research Park to help promote electric vehicle adoption at IIT Madras here . This launch is an important step towards contributing to the mission of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to accelerate electric vehicle adoption in India, reducing the current dependence on imported charging solutions. A large portion of the portable chargers currently used by OEMs are imported and come pre-programmed. Therefore, they are not customizable in terms of voltage and current settings.

Mahsa Amini , the 22-year-old Kurdish-Iranian woman who died in police custody in Iran in 2022 , has been awarded the European Union ‘s top human rights award , sparking protests across the world against Iran’s conservative Islamic theocracy. Amini died after reportedly being arrested for disobeying Iran’s mandatory headscarf law. Due to this, a movement started under the leadership of women and the world echoed with the slogans of “Women, Life, Liberty” . This year (2023), contenders for the award included Vilma Núñez de Escorcia and Roman Catholic Bishop Rolando Álvarez, who fought to protect human rights in Nicaragua. Also included were three women from Poland, El Salvador and the United States who are leading the fight for “free, safe and legal abortion.” The European Union Prize, named after Soviet dissident Andrei Sakharov, was established in 1988 to honor individuals or groups who defend human rights and fundamental freedoms. Nobel Peace Prize winner Sakharov died in the year 1989. Last year’s award was given to the people of Ukraine and their representatives for their bravery during the ongoing war and resistance to Russian aggression.

12 IMD issues cyclone Tej alert for Mumbai​

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning regarding a possible cyclonic storm forming in the Arabian Sea .
