International Yoga Day came into reality on June 21,2015. It was solely on account of the initiative of the Honorable Prime Minister of India , Shri Narendra Modi that the U.N.O. included International Yoga Day in its charter. This 9th celebration is a landmark celebration propagating the universal theme of “YOGA FOR VASUDHAIVA KUDUMBAKAM” as its aim to foster the humane idea of “ One Earth, One Family, and One Future.” The Indian Public School also celebrated this momentous events with great favour and enthusiasm. Yoga and the Rriyasassociated with it acts as a panacea for all physical and psychosomatic ill of humanity. It is a chord of harmony that promotes health and overall well-being. Its ultimate aim is to promote world peace and harmonious existence between different societies and nations and translates the concept of the world as one large Global Village.
