The first-ever all-girls Sainik School was inaugurated in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh. The Samvid Gurukulam Girls Sainik School is located in Vatsalya Gram Parisar and offers a CBSE curriculum with military training. Admission is through a written test and e-counselling. Inspired by a pilot project in Mizoram, the Defence Minister sanctioned the admission of girl children to Sainik schools. The establishment of 100 new Sainik schools aligns with the National Education Policy 2020 and provides career opportunities in the Armed Forces.
