The Indian Air Force has tested state-of-the-art indigenous mobile medical aid, Bhishma Cube, for in-flight emergency landing-airdrop at Agra . Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said that this technology will be helpful in providing medical aid in any emergency situation. The Bheeshma program is a part of the Bharat Swasthya Initiative. It can be used to treat about two hundred injured people. The portable hospital was lowered to the ground by a set of two parachutes from a distance of more than 1500 feet from the aircraft. The cube-shaped hospital was ready in just 12 minutes. It is waterproof and extremely light. In this, 200 people can be treated simultaneously. This is the first indigenous portable hospital. It can also be taken anywhere with the help of a drone. This hospital can be prepared in air, land or sea.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences-AIIMS New Delhi has signed an MoU with the University of Bolton Institute of Medicine to collaborate in the field of pharmaceutical research, innovation and education . AIIMS said in a press release that this MoU was signed through a virtual program by the executive officers of both the institutions. The unemployment rate (UR) in urban areas for persons aged 15 years and above declined from 6.8 per cent to 6.7 per cent during January-March 2023 to January-March 2024. Female UR declined from 9.2 per cent in January-March 2023 to 8.5 per cent in January-March 2024. The labor force participation rate (LFPR) in urban areas for persons aged 15 years and above increased from 48.5 per cent to 50.2 per cent during January-March 2023 to January-March 2024, respectively. The female labor force participation rate in urban areas increased from 22.7 per cent to 25.6 per cent during January-March 2023 to January-March 2024, reflecting an overall increasing trend in the LFPR. The worker population ratio (WPR) for persons aged 15 years and above increased from 45.2 per cent in January-March 2023 to 46.9 per cent in January-March 2024. Female worker population ratio in urban areas increased from 20.6 per cent to 23.4 per cent during January-March 2023 to January-March 2024, showing an overall increasing trend in the WPR.

8 SBI becomes first TCM member in IIBX​

State Bank of India (SBI) has announced that it has become the first bank to become a Trading Cum Clearing (TCM) member at the India International Bullion Exchange (IIBX) . This enables the IFSC Banking Unit (IBU) of SBI to trade on the IIBX platform as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has permitted IBUs to import gold through bullion exchange through IIBX as Special Category Customers (SCC). are permitted to act as trading members and clearing members. This move is likely to increase the trading volume of gold and silver at IIBX as well as bring transparency and efficiency in India’s bullion market. Regulated by the International Financial Services Centers Authority (IFSCA), IIBX GIFT-City is India’s first bullion exchange set up in an IFSC.
