She announced that 13 foreign startup companies plan to invest in India and that their products would be manufactured in the country and exported abroad. Sitharaman emphasized the readiness of the Indian population to embrace new technologies and encouraged students to dream big and return to India after their overseas studies. She expressed confidence that India would become a developed nation by 2047.
