New Delhi: As part of the nation’s celebrations marking the centenary year of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Member Secretary of the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi, has been honoured with the ‘Art of Implementation’ award for his exceptional contributions to culture and education.
The award was presented during the ‘Good Governance through Effective Implementation’ conference, organised by Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini in collaboration with SGT University in Gurugram. This event recognised the enduring legacy of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, whose vision for effective governance continues to inspire policy reforms and cultural advancements across the nation. The occasion was further graced by the presence of esteemed leaders, including Shri Nayab Singh Saini, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana; Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tripura; and Shri Om Prakash Choudhary, Hon’ble Finance Minister of Chhattisgarh, who brought their perspectives on governance inspired by Shri Vajpayee’s visionary ideals.
Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi, expressing gratitude to Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini and SGT University, said, “In reality, this award is not mine alone. It represents the work done by the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts over the past few years and the efforts of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. I humbly accept this award on behalf of all of them.”
Speaking about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, he remarked, “From the opportunities I have had to observe him and spend time in his presence, I have understood one thing. That is, the person who is deeply concerned about achieving a five-trillion-dollar economy and advancing the nation on the path of development is equally committed to preserving our country’s heritage. While he focuses on building large factories, bridges, roads, and infrastructure, he shows the same level of dedication and concern for our culture, traditions, and heritage.”
The conference also celebrated the achievements of Dr. M. Srinivas, Director of AIIMS Delhi, recognising his transformative contributions to healthcare administration. Both awardees reflect the theme of ‘Good Governance through Effective Implementation’, resonating with Shri Vajpayee’s vision of progress and innovation.
