Speaking of UPSC, do you know which village in India is known as the ‘UPSC Factory’? This small village has earned its reputation due to the large number of IAS, IPS, and PCS officers that have emerged from it. Read the detailed story below.

The village known as the “UPSC Factory” is Madhopatti, located in Jaunpur district, Uttar Pradesh, about 7 kilometers from Jaunpur city. According to media reports, this village has produced over 40 IAS, IPS, and PCS officers, many of whom are currently serving in high-ranking positions. These officers have not only made their village proud but have also contributed significantly to the development and reputation of their district.

According to media reports, the population of Madhopatti village is around 4,000, with approximately 75 houses. Interestingly, it is not just the sons of this village who have become officers; the daughters and daughters-in-law have also made their mark in the civil services. It is said that the students from this village start preparing for the UPSC as soon as they join college, driven by a passion to succeed. They not only make their families proud but also bring recognition to their village.

Immediately after India’s independence, the youth of Madhopatti village developed a strong interest in the UPSC exams. According to the Tv9hindi report, in 1952, Indu Prakash Singh became an IFS officer, and in 1955, Vinay Kumar Singh joined the IAS, later serving as the Chief Secretary of Bihar. Over the years, the village has produced several successful officers, with four siblings from the village each achieving success in the UPSC exam, some becoming IAS officers while others chose the IPS. Many of these officers have gone on to hold positions in prestigious institutions such as the Prime Minister’s and Chief Minister’s offices.

In addition to the civil services, many youth from Madhopatti have pursued careers in significant national and international organizations. Some have joined the ISRO, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, and the World Bank, continuing to contribute to the nation’s progress.
