Well, recently, a video went viral on the social media platform X(previously Twitter), where IAS Tina was seen leading a mega cleanliness drive, starting from Ahimsa Circle to the Government Hospital.
Dabi has now launched the “Navo Barmer” initiative, a campaign aimed at improving cleanliness and hygiene in Barmer. The “Navo Barmer” campaign ,an initiative aimed at promoting the Barmer district in Rajasthan, focuses on its development, tourism, and cultural heritage.
As part of the initiative, she carried out inspections at Kisan Market, where she educated shopkeepers on the significance of maintaining cleanliness. In viral videos shared on X, Dabi can be seen issuing stern warnings to shop owners, urging them to adhere to cleanliness regulations and threatening fines or even the closure of shops for those who do not comply.
Videos from the inspection show Dabi firmly reprimanding shopkeepers who were found littering or improperly disposing of waste.
In one particular incident, she warned a shopkeeper, saying, “You all are throwing things in the drain and here and there. I will get this shop closed… This is not a place to throw garbage.” She emphasized that shopkeepers who did not uphold cleanliness standards could face penalties or even risk having their shops closed.
