The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has begun the HP TET Online Application 2024 submission or HPTET registration 2024 process for the Teacher Eligibility Test on its website, .

The application deadline is July 1. Candidates who are interested and eligible can apply online at hpbose.org.

HP TET 2024 application fee: The examination fee is ₹800 for General and Sub-Categories (excluding PHH) and ₹500 for OBC/ST/SC/PHH Categories.

Following the submission of the Online Application Form, three days will be given for application corrections. Candidates can apply online for Teacher Eligibility Test on the Board website .

Please ensure your eligibility as per the criteria laid down for Teacher Eligibility Test in the Prospectus uploaded on the Board Website.

Candidate should enter his/her particulars i.e. Name, Father Name, Mother Name & Date of Birth as per his/her Secondary Education Board Class X Certificate.

Please read the instructions and proceed carefully before you start filling the online application form.

Candidates must follow the instructions strictly as given in the Prospectus and on the Board website. Examination Fee is Rs. 800/- for General and its Sub-Categories (except PHH) and Rs. 500/- for OBC/ST/SC/Physical Handicapped(PHH) Categories.

HP TET​


The HP Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET) is a state-level examination conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of teachers in government schools of Himachal Pradesh.

The test is conducted in both online and offline modes, and is held twice a year, usually in the months of June and December.

The HP TET is divided into four categories: TET (JBT) for lower primary teachers, TGT (Arts) for upper primary teachers, TGT (Non-Medical) for upper primary teachers, and TGT (Medical) for upper primary teachers.

Information regarding the applications of candidates received with fees will be uploaded on the Board’s website .

The candidates can check their Application for candidature and candidate particulars on the website. The candidature of the candidate, who’s fees has not been received by this Board, will not be considered for the TET examination.

The Admit Cards will be uploaded on the Board website 4 Days before the Commencement of the Exams. The Candidates will be able to download/print the Admit Cards for entrance to Examination Centre.

The Admit Card will not be sent to Candidates separately by post. Candidate is allowed to submit only one Application Form against same subject. Multiple Applications of a candidate for same subject are liable to be rejected.

Application Forms through fax/post shall not be entertained and Board does not take responsibility to inform such candidates. The applicants are strongly advised to apply online well in time without waiting for the last date of submission of online application.

How to fill the HP TET Online Application?​

Candidates who want to appear for the TET exam can check details and submit the online application form at the registration web portal with required information and necessary documents.

  • Candidates need to visit the official website of Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, hpbose.org in your device web browser.
  • Once you reach the HP BOSE website, click on the link that reads ‘HP TET’ available on the homepage.
  • After clicking on that link, Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test registration web portal will appear in your device. Next, click on the ‘register tab’ and register yourself.
  • After completion of registration process, Fill the application form with required information.
  • Candidate must upload his/her scanned images of Photograph and Signature.
  • Candidate has to pay examination fee through online payment mode only. Payment made by any other mode (i.e., MISC or any other Head) will not be entertained.
  • After Final Submission of the Online Application Form , Candidate will take printout of his/her Application Form, and retain for future reference.

The HPTET is a mandatory qualification examination for the recruitment of teachers in government schools in Himachal Pradesh.

HPTET will be conducted for Junior Basic Training (JBT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in arts, medical and non-medical fields, language teacher, Shastri, Punjabi, and Urdu. The HPTET exam will be conducted as a two-hour test in two different shifts .e., 10 AM to 12:30 PM and 2 AM to 4:30 PM.
