If alone we talk about that what actually is personalized learning then it is an educational approach which aims to make the students learn in such a way that the strength needs, skills and interest of the students and catered too.
The schools can make the learning more personalized by using ed-tech technologies. The students tend to enjoy visual learning more than just reading from the books. They learn quickly about the concepts as the visual impact of the same stays for a longer period.
The schools can ask the teachers to conduct activities through which the students come forward and showcase their knowledge. At times activities like this gives a very clear picture on how much has the student learned and whether the concept of the particular lesson is clear to him/her.
It is also important to give chance to every student in the class. At times due to the seating arrangement many students are not able to connect with the teacher and tend to take less interest in the lecture.
If there is a way out where the seating arrangement can be hindered, it is surely going to get a drastic change in the student’s approach as he/she will know that they too are as important as the students sitting around them.
The schools should allow the teachers to record their lectures. The perk of recording the lecture will benefit will benefit both the teachers and the students.
The children can access the lecture anytime in case they have any doubts without waiting for the next day or the next lecture. Not only the students, even the teachers can reuse the lectures year after year.
The school can provide the option of creating learning playlist. It includes activities which are related to the topics taught in the class. The students have the options to choose from the playlist and complete the task according to their time. The activities can include digital content, group collaboration, writing work etc. This helps the students to perform better and helps the teachers to frame activities for the bulk rather than for one student at a time. Choice for the mode of learning should be open for the students, there are students who learn by seeing and some by hearing if the students are given the choice by the schools to choose their mode of learning they really can do wonders not only for themselves but the school also grows to have such holistic approach.
