1 Historic Women’s Reservation Bill to reserve one-third seats for women in Lok Sabha and State Assemblies passed in the Lower House of Parliament
The Lok Sabha has approved the 128th Amendment Bill of the Constitution seeking to reserve one-third of the total seats in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies for women . This bill has been called Nari Shakti Vandan Act . The bill was passed after a division of votes, with 454 MPs voting in favor of the bill, while 2 MPs voted against it.

3rd India-Malaysia Defense Cooperation Committee meeting
12th meeting of the Malaysia-India Committee on Defense Cooperation (MIDCOM) on September 19, 2023 in New Delhi happened in. The meeting reviewed the outcomes of the meetings of two sub-committees, namely the Sub-Committee on Military Cooperation (27 July 2023) and the Joint Sub-Committee on Defense Science Technology and Industry Cooperation (18 September 2023). The Defense Secretary of India has signed bilateral agreements between India and India in a wide range of areas such as government-to-government engagement, tri-service cooperation, training, UN peacekeeping, bilateral service engagement, defense industrial cooperation, research and development and regional/sub-regional engagements. and OBC Students: The objective of this scheme is to provide good quality coaching facilities to the economically weaker Scheduled Caste (SC) and Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates so that they can get suitable employment in public/private sector or pursue prestigious technical and professional higher education. To participate in competitions and entrance examinations to ensure admission in educational institutions.
Top Class Education for SC Students : The objective of the scheme is to promote quality education among Scheduled Caste students by providing full financial assistance. The beneficiaries of this scheme will be Scheduled Caste students studying beyond class 12th.
National Migration Scheme for SC: Under this scheme, students selected from Scheduled Castes (115 slots), De-Notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (6 slots), landless agricultural laborers and traditional artisans (4 slots) are eligible for postgraduate and PhD level studies abroad. Financial assistance is provided for.
National Fellowship for SC Students : Under this scheme, Scheduled Caste students are eligible for higher education in Indian Universities/Institutions/Colleges recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) for pursuing M.Phil/PhD degree in Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences. Fellowship is provided for.
5 108 feet high statue of Adi Shankaracharya will be unveiled in Madhya Pradesh
A 108-feet tall statue of Adi Shankaracharya, the founder of Advaita Vedanta philosophy, will be unveiled in Omkareshwar , Madhya Pradesh . This statue is made of different metals, in which Adi Shankaracharya is depicted at the age of 12 , because he attained enlightenment at this age. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will also lay the foundation stone for the construction of Ekta Dham dedicated to the life and philosophy of Adi Shankaracharya. This huge statue is situated on the picturesque Mandhata hill on the banks of river Narmada . This 108 feet high statue of Shankaracharya has been named the Statue of Unity .

Avocados are rich in nutrients and are a good source of mono-saturated acids. The commencement of import of Kenyan avocados will help reduce the trade imbalance between the two countries. He said that in the year 2022, imports from India to Kenya were worth 1.76 billion dollars while Kenyan exports to India were only 67.21 million dollars. Kenya is the sixth largest producer of avocado in the world. Kenya exports about 23 percent of this production.

Telangana State Road Transport Corporation has launched 25 electric green metro luxury air-conditioned bus services in Hyderabad to improve eco-friendly mobility in the city . State Transport Minister P. Ajay Kumar formally inaugurated the fleet. This facility will be available to passengers from 23rd of this month. On this occasion, the Transport Minister said that the transport facilities are being improved and it is being connected with metro services. All types of travel can be done with a single card.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in its endeavor to provide a world class National Highways network has reviewed the design of various bridges/structures , safety aspects of National Highways Authority of India projects and capacity building of National Highways Authority of India officials. An MoU has been signed with Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) . Under this agreement, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will provide services to the National Highway Authority of India for review of the design of all bridges/structures in the ongoing projects.
