Delhi State Govt. Hikes The Minimum Wages For Workers: The government of Delhi has increased the monthly minimum wages for skilled, semi-skilled, and unskilled workers in the state. The Kejriwal government has taken this initiative to improve the status of the workers.
According to the report, the minimum wage for skilled workers has been increased by Rs.546 from Rs. 20,357 to Rs. 20,903. The minimum wage for semi-skilled workers has been increased by RS. 494 from Rs. 18,499 to Rs. 18,993 and for unskilled workers the wages have been increased by Rs. 442 from Rs. 16,792 to Rs. 17,234.
These new rates will come into an effect from April 1, 2023. This will also be applicable to the employees in the clerical and supervisor class. Delhi labour minister Mr.Raaj Kumar Anand states that the government is taking this decision to improve the employee’s statuses who are suffering from inflation.
